I am currently sitting in the Dallas airport waiting for my next connection flight to leave for London. People had told me that the Dallas airport was big. I don't think I could have even imagined this. Its like a mall, food court, subway, and airport all thrown together! I got off my flight from Omaha in Terminal A. I then rode a rather fast tram to Terminal D, which is the International terminal. An airport man helped me find my Gate (I believe I looked a little lost) and now, here I sit.
In the space of my hour and a half flight, I learned a few things.
1. When flying, your ears will pop. Often.
2. Always buy food at the airport, whether you think you are hungry or not. You have many more options, and it is much less expensive. Unless you enjoy an $8 cheese platter :)
3. The goodbye is the hardest part
I am so excited for my internship in Kenya! It will be both an adventure and a learning experience. And it will be a once in a lifetime thing. I am so thankful and grateful for the opportunity I have been given and I hope to make everybody proud.
I will keep you updated with my travels!
Bon Voyage!
For Jeremy: Its a very long plane ride to Africa.
